Patience, empathy, gentle care.
Dentistry for our youngest patients
The secret to treating children reflects one of our key philosophies: patience, empathy and gentle treatment.

Never traumatic
Never a traumatic visit
Our youngest patients usually need more attention and are more anxious, without much experience at the dentist, so we pride ourselves on never traumatising a patient. We are fully aware of the long-term consequences, which over decades translate into dental anxiety.
Always in charge
The child is always in charge
This means we never, ever pressure a young patient into any specific treatment. From the very first moment, we let them know and feel that they are always in full charge of what is happening in the chair. We explain every single step slowly, in their own language, using pictures from the intraoral camera and showing them every instrument we use, so that from the start they feel fully confident and, literally, in safe hands.
They can stop anytime
We also tell our little patients that they can interrupt the treatment at any moment, that they will not be compelled to do anything, and that they can leave the chair whenever they feel like it. This added control gives them peace of mind and the space to make sure they never feel overwhelmed.
We've never had a child cry
As a result of this philosophy, which we apply to all our patients, we have never had a child cry during a treatment. As soon as they feel anxious or overly nervous, we give them the chance to reschedule, or to take a deep breath and have a break. With this approach, we have been highly successful over many years.
The biggest compliment
To give one example of our success with young patients: we are glad, and proud, to see some of them even fall asleep in our chair during treatment. I think that is the biggest compliment you can get as a dentist. And as a matter of fact, it happens to quite a lot of our adult patients too.
