The Shortcut We Avoid
Straightening is not hiding.
Many patients, and many dentists, take the quick shortcut of aligning crowded teeth from the outside with veneers alone. This is not our preferred approach. It does not change the crowded position of the teeth underneath, it only covers it for the sake of appearance, and it often makes daily cleaning harder still, because veneers placed over already crowded teeth make the spaces between them even tighter and less accessible.
